Make your holiday party a memorable one!
That time of year is coming around again. And as great as your co-workers may be, A work holiday party could be one of the things people dread most this time of year. If you're in charge of making things interesting this year, view these tips to make sure your party stays lit!
1. When i go to events.. I look for the food table. I am easily impressed when there is snacks, but on this one occasion i attended a holiday party that had a "hot chocolate bar". This was a good attraction for the party and was delicious. Under $30 to set up and yet feels priceless ;)
2. Time always flies when you're having fun. Keep your co-workers busy by including a holiday game in to the mix. Some good ideas for these are:
- Christmas "unwrap"- When you wrap a gift with layers of wrapping paper and pass it around, the final person to unwrap the gift is able to keep it.
-
Wrap a reindeer! -Break your guests into teams and give them all the same supplies to create a reindeer out of one of their teammates. Give the teams 5 minutes and then judge the best reindeer.Supplies for the Reindeer Game:
- Brown Crepe Paper
- Black Crepe Paper
- Clown Noses
- Reindeer Headband
- Bows
- Tinsell
3. Secret Santa- This year my friends and I did a Secret Santa which turned out to be a surprising success. By setting a max dollar amount of $25 and picking names out of a jar, everyone will feel special at your holiday party. Have all the guests guess who their "Santa" was.
I hope you have a wonderful time at your Holiday Parties, regardless of what you celebrate! Try to stay positive, and remember you only have to do this once a year ;)
